Awareness Talk: Growing Threat of Cybercrime: Awareness and Prevention Strategies
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) jointly with Department of Information Science Engineering had organized an Awareness talk on the topic “Growing Threat of Cybercrime: Awareness and Prevention Strategies” on 14/11/2024. The talk was open to all the students of of New Horizon College of Engineering. The awareness talk was delivered by Mrs. Manju Mehra, a cyber safety professional with ISAC, a Cyber-Crime Intervention Officer (CCIO), an ISAC-certified cyber psychologist, and an assistant chief traffic warden with the Bangalore City Police. The talk aimed to educate participants on the evolving landscape of cybercrime, highlighting common types and their impacts. It also offered practical and actionable strategies for cyber-crime prevention.
