SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS
Workshop-Python for Real World Objects
On April 25th, 2025, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) hosted a technical talk on “Python for Real World Objects” for the 6th-semester students. Mr. Anand Jha, a senior Data Analyst at Tiger Analytics, led the session, offering insights into Python libraries for data cleaning and Streamlit for interactive app development. He emphasized the importance of preprocessing datasets, handling missing values, and transforming raw CSV files into usable formats. Real-world examples illustrated data quality challenges and solutions using Pandas and NumPy.
The session introduced Streamlit, a tool for building web applications, enabling students to upload, visualize, and create dynamic dashboards. Mr. Jha demonstrated seamless integration of cleaned data into web applications for enhanced analysis. Students learned automation techniques for data formatting, real-time updates, and user-friendly application design. A Q&A session covered optimization techniques, career paths, and best practices in data analytics. The talk was well-received, providing a strong foundation for practical application of Python in Data Science. It successfully bridged theoretical learning with real-world scenarios.
