SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS

Workshop on Agentic AI: Building Autonomous Data Intelligence

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) organised a workshop titled “Agentic AI: Building Autonomous Data Intelligence” on 13 March 2026. The session was conducted by Mr. Ananda Jha, Lead Technical Engineer at Tiger Analytics. He began by tracing the historical evolution of artificial intelligence from the 1990s to the deep learning breakthroughs of 2013. Mr. Jha clarified foundational AI concepts and encouraged critical thinking through engaging questions.

He highlighted the distinction between Generative AI, which creates content, and AI Agents, which perceive, reason, and act autonomously. The workshop then shifted to practical implementation using Snowflake’s enterprise data platform. Participants learned the workflow for architecting and deploying an autonomous AI agent within Snowflake.

A hands-on demonstration featured student volunteer Pranjali executing the step-by-step agent-building process. This live activity helped students connect theoretical understanding with real-world application. The session offered valuable exposure to AI Engineering, Data Intelligence, AIOps, and autonomous systems development.

Students gained insights into both conceptual clarity and technical execution. Overall, the workshop effectively bridged academic learning with industry practices. It inspired learners to align with emerging advancements in autonomous data intelligence and AI-driven innovation.
