Social Outreach Program at Makkala Dhama
On June 19th, 2024, Computer Science & Engineering (Data Science) students visited Makkala Dhama, a school for underprivileged female students in Bettakote, Devanahalli, Bangalore, as part of their Social Outreach Program. The primary aim of this initiative was to foster a sense of compassion and awareness through constructive community service. The students took the initiative to fund, collect, procure, and donate essential supplies to the students of Makkala Dhama School. This act of generosity aimed to support the educational needs of underprivileged students and ensure they have the necessary resources for their studies. Through this program, the students had the opportunity to hone their volunteering and leadership skills. They learned the importance of giving back to the community and the impact of their contributions on others’ lives. The experience also helped them develop empathy and a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by underprivileged communities.
