Workshop on Cloud-Based Website Hosting and API Integration Using AWS

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science), New Horizon College of Engineering, organized a workshop titled “Cloud-Based Website Hosting and API Integration Using AWS” on May 14, 2026, for 4th-semester students. The session was conducted by Mr. Sasideep Jagarlamudi, Senior Automotive Cybersecurity and Test Automation Engineer at Vector Informatik India. The workshop provided students with valuable insights into cloud technologies and their role in modern web application development.

It began with an introduction to cloud computing and AWS services, explaining how organizations deploy websites and manage applications using scalable cloud infrastructure. The speaker highlighted the shift from traditional on-premise systems to cloud-based solutions for improved performance and reliability. Key concepts such as cloud deployment, secure communication, and efficient service integration were thoroughly discussed.

The session emphasized how AWS enables organizations to host web applications with flexibility, scalability, and cost efficiency. Real-world applications of AWS were explored across domains like e-commerce, fintech, mobile apps, and enterprise systems. Students also learned how API integration ensures seamless communication between various components such as frontend, backend, and third-party services. The benefits of AWS, including faster deployment, load balancing, automated backups, and high availability, were clearly explained.

The workshop also addressed challenges such as security concerns, cost management, and integration with legacy systems. Overall, the session enhanced students’ understanding of cloud computing and equipped them with essential knowledge for modern IT and software development practices.
