The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) hosted a workshop on “Unlocking Business Insights with Power BI Dashboards” on October 22, 2024. The resource person for the workshop was Mr. Roopkumar Murali, Associate Analyst IV at Conduent.
In this session, students were introduced to Power BI, a powerful business analytics tool that transforms raw data into interactive and visually appealing insights for effective decision-making. Mr. Murali demonstrated how to import data, create charts, graphs, and slicers, and design user-friendly dashboards. He also showcased examples from various industries, including retail, finance, and marketing, to illustrate the practical applications of Power BI.
The workshop was highly informative and equipped students with a solid foundation in Power BI and its relevance in business analytics.
